Matthew Todd is a tenor presently studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formally the RSAMD). Before coming to the Conservatoire he completed an HND in music at Stevenson College Edinburgh and received 3 merits and 13 distinctions as well as the award for Best Advanced Music Student.
During his time at the Conservatoire, Matthew has gained experience in a wide variety of classical styles. His opera roles include

- Sorcerer; Dido and Aeneas, H Purcell - Stevenson College Edinburgh (2008)
He regularly sings for public concerts and recitals and last year he performed the world premier of the epic song-cylce The Hound of Heaven by Dr Archie Ewing. Future performances will see further performances of The Hound of Heaven for Lentfest 2012 and, in October, Matthew will sing the title role in Elgar's great oratorio The Dream of Gerontius for Arts in Autumn 2012.
In addition, Matthew sings in Scottish, folk and popular styles accompanying himself with piano or Kentigern harp.
Matthew is a Choral Scholar at Paisley Abbey and heavily involved with the National Youth Choir of Scotland and the Spirit of Life Youth Choir.
